Sojourn_By_Sum1Good by Sum1Good Sojourn_By_Sum1Good by Sum1Good
"Sojourn_By_Sum1Good" is a second take on a Groboto 3D object I whipped up in minutes the other day when I created "Probe" ( [link] ). Unlike Probe, however, here the object has been transported to outer space (background image is a Hubble Telescope shot placed in the Public Domain by NASA) and here a Poser head has been attached to it's "Observation Platform."

Just as in "Probe," this little ditty too was created in a few minutes flat using Groboto v3 (30 day Eval Version with full 3D Export!)

This was the very first time I had ever tried Groboto and did this object in seconds literally. Using this same object in a different rotational orientation and with a different Sculptris custom shader I created, I imported the Groboto foreground structure as an OBJ format object into Sculptris, imported a 3D OBJ format Human Head from Poser, and added the Public Domain NASA/Hubble Space Photo background image inside Sculptris which I had snagged off the web for the purpose.

I highly recommend grabbing that fully functional evaluation version of Groboto V3, it's nice having a fully functional program free for a month that currently retails at a hundred dollars!

Although Groboto V3 retails at $100 USD there is a very generous discount offer set available at this page here:

( [link] )

...where you can get up to 70 PERCENT OFF !!!!

That way, at only $ 30 USD instead of $ 100 USD Groboto is a downright STEAL and just it's truly awesome unique modeling toolsets alone are an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone creating 3D Models regardless of experience level!

Sculptris is free too so hey... go grab them both! : )

using the same 3D object but very differently! : )

I am amazed at how realistic your visions are. I get thrilled when I see art like that, and art that is almost dimentional in the fact that it looks as if you could touch it on the other side of the canvas, or in this case - my laptop. Nicely done, luv. :huggle:

Thanks so much! : )) I think maybe the fact that I develop/create 3D virtual worlds where people meet, do business, create architectural structures of their own, chat, collaborate, and explore has probably had a large influence on my art... that and the fact that I also have explored and built and danced and lived inside well known virtual worlds which I love [like ( [link] )] off and on for many years as well. I guess I tend to intuitively sense that "other side" you accurately refer to since I am long accustomed to being aware of my 360 degree virtual environments due to all that exploring and creating inside them online alone and with others. : )

Hugs back you.... ; )
